# Historical international locality and phone references

As of 2026-10-08, generated street addresses come from the intact public-place list described in [Public address sources](REAL_ADDRESS_DATA_SOURCES.md). The locality/postal catalogs below describe older releases and are not the active address pool or current coverage. Current results retain source URLs and separate generated names and phones from real places. Phone-format references below remain relevant; phone assignment is not checked unless a documented reserved range is used.

## Historical locality catalog (superseded)

Older releases used locality/postal examples with synthetic street lines.
The current public-place address pool replaces that behavior. Phone templates are country-level format-only
and assignment is `not_checked`, except US/CA 555-0100–0199 and GB's Ofcom
drama range.

transliterated or combined with a parent city. Only city/postcode pairs are

## 2026-09-17 Asian depth update

Version `international-fixtures-2026-09-17` selects five existing GeoNames snapshot rows each for JP/KR/SG/MY. Exact source fields, official formatting references, licensing and campus-context boundaries: [Asian source ledger](../../docs/asian-country-sources-2026-09-17.md). Other country locality/postal entries and US data remain unchanged. Singapore's source postal code is not a validation of the synthetic street or a campus delivery destination.
